Payment & payout process

Automated payments only

  • Payments happen inside the platform.
  • Users do not manually transfer money to each other.

Escrow flow

  1. Sender accepts the Deal
  2. Payment leaves sender and is held by DistroTravel as pending/escrow
  3. Carrier completes delivery
  4. Sender or receiver confirms successful delivery
  5. Funds release: 85% to carrier, 15% to DistroTravel

Payment provider fees

Some payment methods may charge external provider fees (bank/card fees). If used, they must be structured so that:

  • DistroTravel still retains its 15% platform fee
  • The carrier still receives their 85% net payout
